With the support of passionate basketball enthusiasts from Ballarat and its surrounding areas, BDU has grown significantly and has become a respected name in Country Victorian Basketball.
At BDU, we are dedicated to creating a development-first basketball program that emphasizes teamwork, inclusion, and mateship. Our motto is simple: less politics, more play; less pressure, more progress.
ACHievements
All-Age Success: BDU has consistently demonstrated success across all age groups and competitive levels in both Men’s and Women’s basketball throughout Victoria.
Household Name: Over the years, we have established a reputation as a premier basketball club in the region, known for our commitment to development and community.
Youth Development: BDU offers teams for both boys and girls, starting from Under 12s and extending to Senior levels. Tryouts and selections are held annually, and those who are successful earn a place on a team.
Tournament Participation: BDU participates in over 10 tournaments each season (October – July) across Victoria, including the prestigious Adelaide Easter Classic, which attracts teams from all over Australia and beyond.
