Toni Gudgeon - TREASURER & Social Media

Toni is a long-standing and passionate member of the BDU Lightning family, having previously served as Club Secretary before taking on her current role as Treasurer, while also helping drive the club’s social media presence.

Basketball has been part of Toni’s life since she was five years old. From her early days as a Ballarat junior representative player to still taking the court today alongside her daughters, her love for the game has never disappeared. That lifelong connection to basketball is a big part of the energy and commitment she brings to BDU Lightning.

Behind the scenes, Toni is one of those people who is always making things happen. Whether she’s balancing the books, coordinating tournaments, organising the countless little details that keep events running smoothly, or keeping everyone connected through social media, Toni puts an enormous amount of time and care into the club.

Known for being one of the last to bed — and not always because she’s organising a tournament! — Toni loves a good catch-up, plenty of laughs and the social side that comes with being part of the BDU family. For Toni, BDU is as much about the friendships, families and memories made along the way as it is about basketball. When she does manage to step away from basketball and the never-ending BDU to-do list, Toni loves spending time with family and friends — although these days, there’s a pretty good chance most of them are connected to BDU in one way or another!
