Lindy Sharkey - Tournament Coordinator

Lindy has been part of the BDU family for many years and has worn plenty of hats along the way — supporter, team manager, statistician, coach and now committee member. Usually accompanied by her husband and coach Matt, Lindy is also a proud mum to Willow and Cooper, and basketball is very much a family affair.

A former school teacher, Lindy now works in the science of learning, learning design and assessment. She brings a wealth of knowledge, organisation and enthusiasm to everything she takes on. As our Tournament Coordinator, Lindy will help coordinate BDU’s tournaments and all that goes on behind the scenes to make them happen. She will also work alongside Kirsty Dixon to support Child Safety across the club.

You’ll find — and most definitely hear — Lindy around just about every BDU team at some point! Her bubbly personality, endless energy and incredible positivity are contagious, and we’re very lucky to have her as part of the BDU Lightning committee.
