Ollie Mccarthy - Player development coordinator

Ollie is one of the original members of BDU, having played in the debut tournament and remained with the club ever since. Ollie has gone from playing, to coaching, to now coordinating the development of over 100 players within BDU.

Ollie is a passionate basketball enthusiast and dedicated development coach. He has a rich history with the sport, having played junior basketball for Phoenix Ballarat, representative basketball for Ballarat Miners and VIC Country, and now currently playing for BDU in A Grade Mens and CBL (Country Basketball League) for the Maryborough Blazers.

Ollie has not only excelled as a player but has also developed his coaching skills, guiding the next generation of BDU players. As a development coach, Ollie plays a crucial role in nurturing young talent within the BDU program. His journey from player to coach has made him a relatable figure for aspiring players, who look up to him as a mentor and role model. His enthusiasm for basketball is infectious, inspiring those around him to pursue their passion for the game.
